Dalton Espaillat, founder and CEO of Raydal Hospitality Group, brings this philosophy to life through his culinary ventures.
Born in the Dominican Republic, Dalton’s love for Latin American cuisine began in his family’s kitchen. When he arrived in Charlotte, he saw an opportunity to share authentic flavors with the community. In 2010, he along with other partners purchased Three Amigos Mexican Grill & Cantina, laying the foundation for Raydal Hospitality Group. The company name is a tribute to family: it combines the first three letters of Dalton’s father, Ray, and the first three of his own, creating “Raydal.”
By 2014, Dalton, along with his wife Miriam and a small group of loyal employees, expanded the company to include Sabor Latin Street Grill, which quickly became the flagship of their operations. Today, Raydal owns and operates 19 restaurants under multiple concepts, including Three Amigos, Sabor, La Caseta, and MaBi Cocina Tropical. Each concept reflects Dalton’s commitment to authenticity, quality, and celebrating Latin American culinary heritage.
Dalton and Miriam’s vision goes beyond food. They prioritize creating welcoming spaces, supporting local initiatives, and mentoring future leaders. Their work has enriched Charlotte’s dining scene while highlighting the cultural contributions of Latino entrepreneurs throughout the Carolinas.

Nacido en la República Dominicana, Dalton descubrió su amor por la cocina latinoamericana en la cocina de su familia. Al llegar a Charlotte, vio la oportunidad de compartir sabores auténticos con la comunidad. En 2010, junto a otros socios, compró Three Amigos Mexican Grill & Cantina, sentando las bases de Raydal Hospitality Group. El nombre de la empresa rinde homenaje a la familia: combina las primeras tres letras del nombre del padre de Dalton, Ray, y las primeras tres de su propio nombre, formando “Raydal”.
